Over 50% of screened Toronto rental applications found fraudulent

Tenant application fraud has become alarmingly common in hot markets. Menkes Developments (a major property manager) reported that in a recent 6-month period, it screened 175 rental applicants and over 90 were disqualified for fraud or “discrepancies”​.
